Underneath the operating network of our roles as teachers, staff and administrators lies our rich School Culture. This Culture has arisen from a pattern of work-style that is based on tradition, a common vision, open communication and shared decision-making process.
As a group of educators working together, the problems solved as they develop policy, set curriculum and schedule, community members’ involvement and conflict resolution, has slowly solidified into a distinct School Culture. This culture guides us at two different levels.
The first level comprises of the tangible things we do, such as the way time and space is arranged at a school, meetings are organized, budgets decided, communication and conflict managed and celebrations held.
The second level constitutes the values we believe in that support all of those elements in the first level. These can be felt through the behaviors and relationships of staff members, and seen in symbols that represent the school.
In short, we have created a positive connection between the School and its staff for reaching our final goal i.e. student achievement.
